Success of GUM in the Twinning project
According to the decision of the European Commission and the project beneficiary (Georgia), the consortium consisting of Poland (GUM) together with Germany, Portugal, Austria, Romania and Latvia will implement the Twinning project (twinning) for its counterpart - the national metrological institution in Georgia. The title of the project is "strengthening of institutional as well as human capacities of Georgian National Agency for Standards and Metrology (GEOSTM) according to the international / EU best practices."

Professor Jacek Semaniak appointed as the President of the Central Office of Measures in Poland
On November 9, 2020, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appointed Professor Jacek Semaniak as the President of the Central Office of Measures. The document was handed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development, Labour and Technology, Jarosław Gowin. The nomination ceremony was held at the headquarter of the Ministry of Development, Labour and Technology in the presence of the special guests.

55th CIML meeting online
On October 20-22 a meeting of the International Committee of Legal Metrology (CIML), one of the main working and decision-making bodies of the International Organization of Legal Metrology was held. Because of the COVID 19 pandemic the meeting for the first time was held remotely.
